Does anyone else use their birthday month as an excuse for unbridled shopping? I certainly do. I was on the hunt for One Big Birthday Gift to commemorate my 30s, but I still haven’t found a piece that stands out, so I resorted to picking up small things here and there as they caught my eye. TBD on if a big purchase will happen, but I’m hoping something worth justifying ends up in my eyeline.

March is a tough season to shop, with most stores offering a lame mix of pre-spring new arrivals and end-of-winter sales — still, I managed to shop at least eight different times this month. I got activewear, shoes and bags, jewelry, skincare tools, and even day planners. Read on for what made the cut.
