Don’t get me wrong — I love to see what people are debating buying, but it’s what they actually purchase that intrigues me most. Which pieces are so good, you’re willing to give a brand your billing information and patiently wait for them to ship you a little parcel?
Below, I’ve rounded up nine pieces I was more than happy to pony up for in March, including a jumpsuit I bought in multiple colors, cute cover-up options for summer, a wardrobe tool that has since changed my life, and a limited-edition beauty product I never thought I’d see again. Oh, and a great pair of flats that were actually gifted, not purchased. But chic enough that I needed you to know they exist!
BTW — this is a paywalled post for subscribers only, but I’ll let everyone peek at the first three selects, because I hate to deny you the opportunity to snag the perfect pair of beach pants. Read on for more, and see you later this week for our usual public post for all the B Listers!
Lots of Abercrombie Basics, Like These Airy Beach Pants
I tend to bulk order Abercrombie because the sizing can be a little all over the place, but I always end up with some gems. Every year I search for a fresh pair of beach pants that can double as a poolside cover-up and a casual daytime option, and after much trial and error (the brand’s Linen-Blend Pull-On Pant was a miss for me), I’ve purchased the Crinkle Textured Pull-On Pant ($64, originally $80) in white and black. These are breezy but true to size (I take the Large), and you can nab the matching strappy tank for just under $30 to complete the set. I did!
An Athleta Jumpsuit I’ve Since Bought in 3 Different Colorways
I’m on an Athleta kick right now, and the Salutation 7/8 Bodysuit ($129) suits my daily needs to a T. The Powervita fabric is splendid and supportive without being too compressive, and unlike traditional leggings, the all-in-one silhouette will never roll or fall down. I’ve purchased Black, Spiced Cabernet (Who names the shades at Athleta? My props to them!), and Clover Berry, the last of which is currently on super-sale for just $35, although few sizes remain. Highly recommend for walking, running and low-impact workouts.
The Cover-Up To End All Cover-Ups, From SKIMS
Let me start by saying that I’m well aware how ridiculous it is to be buying an $80 towel, but I like what I like — and this, I love. I’m a chronic towel-wrapper (meaning I always have my towel wrapped around my bum when I’m walking around at the beach or pool), so the concept of a Long Wrap Skirt ($78) that’s essentially a towel with a hook and eye closure is revolutionary. It’ll never come undone! Granted, you could totally DIY this with a towel of your own, but I’ll give credit to Ms. Kimberly on this one: It’s simple, yet genius.
