Babe, The Sunglasses ARE The Outfit
Plus Dior, Celine, Jacquemus et al. It's For Your Consideration, Vol. 11!
Welcome back, Blisters! After a few days in the Catskills, a week at the Jersey Shore, and one skipped B List on account of the holiday weekend, it feels like it’s been ages.
Summer is upon us — even if this week’s forecast is full of rain — and I’m wasting no time diving into the finest of its virtues. These include swimming any chance I get, eating like every meal calls for a backyard barbecue, and never, ever taking off my sunglasses.
Oh, and harvesting as much summer fashion inspo as I can. Lucky for me, this year’s crop is truly abundant! Read on for a few choice selects, all for your consideration.
Giving My Sunnies The Styling Sesh They Deserve
I finished out the month of June with a trip to the Catskills, courtesy of my friends at Sunglass Hut. The itinerary? Goat bonding, vision boarding, honey tasting, hiking, swimming, yoga, and the chance to own your moment!
I arrived to Hemlock Neversink with a room drop of Spanx activewear and Patchology products, and myself and other attendees received sunnies pair by precious pair as we moved through each activity (I vlogged it for you here).
Often, I use trips like these as an opportunity to wear my wardrobe’s best and brightest — but for most of our stay, my fellow editors, influencers and myself lounged in our Spanxsmooth leggings with Patchology eye gels peeking out from underneath our sunnies. Our shades were the focal point of our ensembles, and we relished in the freedom of not getting all dolled up for just a few days.
That said, these shades deserve some proper styling now that I’m back in the real world, and every time I reach for one of my new pairs to finish off an outfit, I’m reminded of Sunglass Hut’s mission to Own Your Moment as I use my personal style to show off my confidence and creativity.
Below, three of my favorite new pairs of sunnies — with three moment-making ways to style them before the summer ends.
My Ray-Ban RB4441D Sunglasses ($160) are a wardrobe staple — like, I own them in three or four different colorways. I pair them with everything from athleisure to night-out garb, but I dream of styling the Black Frame/Gray Lense iteration with this silky set from ROAME. The Skylar Halter Top ($284) and Miles Pant ($314) are an effortlessly chic halter top and flowy pant combo, and I’d play up the set’s swirling scenic pattern with the Simon Miller Mini Mercado Tote ($285). Add the Castañer Tamesis Sport Sandals ($186, were $265) for practicality and the Alexis Bittar Puffy Lucite Tapered Bangle Bracelet ($148, was $295) for flair, and boom! A flawless anytime, anywhere look.
When I first got my hands on these Versace VE4488U Sunglasses ($323) in Red Frames with Violet Lenses, I thought I’d reserve them for winter styling because of the darker colorway. Au contraire! I’ve been having a blast contrasting these traditionally winter-y hues with summer brights and patterns. Take, for example, the chartreuse Frida Beaded Dress ($348) by Yellow The Label. Accessorized with Liffner’s Pillow Pouch Micro in Leopard ($575) and Larroudé’s Gaia Block Sandal in Gold Specchio ($315), you’ve got a flirty summer ‘fit that feels grounded by the sleek, dark frames. To accessorize further, I recommend a fun earring — the petite moments Multi Stone Earrings ($25) are an amazing deal — and an RPZL x Island to East Side Cosmo Mini Claw Clip ($29.99) on standby. Now, get thee to happy hour!
I used to think Oakleys were only for activewear or boating, and boy, was I limiting their sartorial potential. These OO9431 Lateralis Sunglasses ($196) in Black Frames with Blue Lenses are practically begging to be paired with PH5’s whimsical knits! The PH5 Pomelo Wavy Bra Top ($255) and Sophie Cherry Print Midi Skirt ($315) combo looks so good with these sporty sunnies, and the 4CCCCEES Mellow Glow Sandal (€225, was €255) really plays up that balance of tough but fun. I recommend adding as much silver jewelry as one can handle — in particular, a slew of Jenny Bird rings like the Sées ($128), Solene Double ($118), and Viviana ($128) styles. The final touch? Staud’s Reef Bag ($325), with pearlescent beads that mimic Oakley’s Prizm Sapphire lenses.
Oh, Fashion Is SO Back
Anna Wintour might be stepping down, but all our favorite brands are stepping it up, and my camera roll is overflowing with screenshots of newness from Dior, Celine, and Jacquemus.
Myself and all other Loewe/JW Anderson fans have been chomping at the bit to see what Jonathan Anderson’s spin on Dior might look like — and his debut definitely has Maria Grazia Chiuri crashing out at home (JK Maria, we love you!).
Highlights included dreamy knits, fun plays on the classic necktie, and a few cape options I fear many of us would happily blow our winter coat budgets on if given the opportunity. Here’s hoping I can convince Pat to become a Dior Homme guy so I can build him a closet of pieces I want to borrow. (And don’t even get me started on Sabrina Carpenter’s look to attend the show. My dream suit!)
Over at Celine, another impressive debut: Michael Rider’s Spring 2026 Ready to Wear collection! While the silhouettes felt classic “old” Celine in all the right ways, the styling was fresh and exciting — and a bit preppy, which makes sense given Rider’s stint as creative director of Polo Ralph Lauren.
Scarves, hardware, statement belts and some heavily layered rings and bracelets brought new life to barrel-legged trousers and blazers with exaggerated proportions that still felt wearable and refined. Pops of red, green, and blue contrasted camels and blacks for a clowncore-meets-equestrian-chic palette that managed to feel ridiculously bold without sparking concern for Rider’s ability to grasp what makes Celine, Celine.
I say this with love: The minimalist, neutral girlies are gonna hate this collection. And Rider will not be offering any apologies at this time!! So get over it!!!
Last but not least, every show Simon Porte Jacquemus puts together ends up at the center of my mood board, so of course, “Le Paysan” at l’Orangerie de Versailles is no exception. I just thank the fashion gods that these pieces weren’t available for purchase when I needed a bridal shower dress, otherwise I would find myself in serious debt (And if they drop before October? Perhaps a rehearsal dinner look could be in my future…)
Bridal inspo abounded, but the show’s true intent was to pay homage to the designer’s youth in the South of France, with many of the design elements walking a fine line between rural and sculptural. From the looks themselves to the accompanying promotional imagery, Jacquemus once again proves masterful storytelling is at the center of his sartorial skillset.
Longchamp Levels Up
It’s no secret that Longchamp’s leather handbag offering over recent years has been just as excellent as the array of nylon Le Pliage totes that first brought so many of us to the brand. And for 2025, they’re upping the ante further, with a slew of new colors and silhouettes. Some of these expand beyond that signature tote shape, while others pay homage to and elevate it further. Most are mini, all are gorgeous.
My personal favorites? Above, from L-R: Le Roseau M Shoulder Bag in Yellow Chick ($530), Épure XS Tote Bag in Navy ($570), Épure XS Toast Bag ($455), Le Pliage Xtra XS Handbag in British Green ($555), and Le Pliage Xtra M Shoulder Bag in Celadon ($555).
SYSS (Stuff You Should See)
Nette sent over their Lemon Puff Eau de Parfum ($125), and in addition to swooning over the component (I swear I care more about perfume packaging than scent), the fragrance of lemon, torched meringue, vanilla, is sweet and unique. Gourmand girlies, make haste.
Everyone is going wild for Rhode’s new Lemontini offering, but I’m still stuck on the Glazing Mist ($30), a perfect on-the-go addition to my routine that affords me all-day hydration without having to bring my beloved Glazing Milk out and about. She’s currently living in my beach bag alongside my sunscreens.
These are not yet available, but it’s important to have the new Wales Bonner adidas collaboration on your radar, as key pieces will definitely sell out quickly. Jewel, the SS26 collection, boasts these ridiculously good chocolate woven sneakers.
I’m not much of a coffee influencer, but I mentioned in a previous Blister that I’ve been upping my at-home coffee routine. Recently, a bag of Café Aroma Especial ($18.99) found its way to my door, and I’ve become partial to this whole-bean, medium roast espresso blend with notes of chocolate, smoked caramel, and lemon peel.
