We Have Jacquemus At Home
Plus a $4 tank top, cherry perfumes and more. It's For Your Consideration, Vol. 6!
For those of you who subscribed for fashion musings and not the intimate details of my engagement — welcome back to B List! This week’s For Your Consideration post is a true return to our classic format, and it’s got everything from $4 tanks to $400 microcurrent devices. Talk about balance!
But first things first: Happy birthday to my Dad, who may or may not be reading this! Most of my subscribers here on B List are gals in or around my age group, and it means so much to me that my dad takes the time to read my Substack weekly, despite knowing its contents won’t really interest him. It makes me feel very special and supported. Sorry to get sappy about it!
Forgive me for rushing the intro, but our first order of business is a must-have piece on super-sale, and I have no idea how long the sale runs for. So read on and get it while it’s hot!
My Favorite Tank Top Is On Sale For $4
…And keep in mind, I bought it at its original price of $12.99! When I noticed my sister, Morgan, wearing linen separates from Old Navy on repeat, I made her take me to the nearest store so I could stock up on some basics of my own. We then decided to rebrand it to The Navy, a la Target’s Tarjay. It works, right?
After I made the most of the linen section — Morgan loves these wide-leg pants, and I went for this maxi skirt — I picked up the Ultra-Crop Rib-Knit Top ($4, originally $12.99) in White Lillies on a whim. Once I fell in love with the fit, I proceeded to order it in Black Jack, Rock Rose, Golden Poppy and even Navy Floral.
The square neckline is modest without feeling too covered-up, and I quickly found that my go-to bralette, the Savage X Fenty Seamless Scoop-Neck Bralette ($39.95), was undetectable beneath the stretchy ribbed material. My biggest pet peeve is a rogue bra strap or a visible bra line, but this combo lays perfectly.
I recommend shopping your usual size for a classic fit that’s snug on the chest with some give on the waist, or sizing down one for a more body-con cling. And while I’m usually a believer in taking your time with a purchase, this time around I can’t help but pressure you. For $4 bucks? It doesn’t get better than this.
We Have Jacquemus At Home
Can I say the quiet thing loud? The Jacquemus runway shows are far more interesting than the brand’s actual inventory. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing! Designer Simon Porte Jacquemus is a big-picture kind of guy: whether he’s designing a slinky dress or a double-stacked heel, he’s imagining the piece on a specific girl, in a specific look, most likely jet-setting somewhere specific — and fabulous.
But without the setting amplifying the fantasy, the pieces themselves often prove nothing special. “La Casa” marks the brand’s 15th anniversary, and the show took place at Villa Malaparte in Capri. Models transformed into Italian It Girls, donning sunnies and scarves in shades of butter yellow, cherry red and turquoise. Pops of zebra print amplified the clean silhouettes, and while I’m definitely lusting after a few of the handbags (Does Le Petit Bambola deserve a spot in my wedding wardrobe?), the clothes themselves don’t move me enough to Add To Cart.
For me, “La Casa” proved ample mood board fodder — not a collection to invest in. My camera roll is overflowing with screenshots from the show, and I’m inspired to shop with the collection’s colors, details, and styling in mind. But aside from the handbags, I don’t have any real urge to buy the actual Jacquemus pieces.
If you felt similarly, I took the liberty of rounding up some “La Casa”-adjacent pieces that might mesh with your everyday wardrobe. As Tibi’s Amy Smilovic says: “Dupe the vibe, not the look.”

Beauty Diet: Berries & Cherries
What is it about smelling like a strawberry that makes me feel so gosh-darn feminine? Perhaps it makes me feel like I’m living out my forager duties in the hunter/gatherer dichotomy of society’s past. Or maybe berries just smell insanely good.
Pretty much every brand in beauty has committed to a diet of strawberries and cherries for summer, and I’ve tried as many products as I can get my hands on. For physical exfoliants, fresh’s Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash ($38) is a forever classic. I always keep a back-up of Fenty Beauty’s Cherry Dub Triple Action AHA Body Scrub ($29) by my shower — and recently, Dove’s Crushed Cherries & Chia Milk Exfoliating Body Scrub ($6.99) has proved an excellent affordable option.
As for fragrance, PHLUR’s Strawberry Letter Eau de Parfum ($99) is a top contender for my number one summer fragrance. But for cherry scents, it’s a tie between snif’s Tart Deco ($65), with notes of cherry, birchwood, vanilla, and vetiver, and philosophy’s Radiant Grace Eau de Parfum ($74), a delicious blend of black cherry, jasmine, and caramelized sandalwood.
And of course, I have two makeup favorites to tout. Glow Recipe’s Strawberry BHA Pore-Smooth Blur Drops ($32) make for an impeccable priming base, and the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in Cherry ($24) is just another flawless flavor in their gotta-have-’em-all lineup.
Stuff You Should See (SYSS)
I’ve been testing the pricy Bio-Therapeautic bt-sculpt ($395) for a few weeks now, and it’s definitely my new favorite microcurrent device. The hinged probe is so good at making my skin look lifted and sculpted in real-time.
FYI: Madewell dropped my beloved Tie-Waist Maxi Slip Skirt ($98) in a new color. I still love my cerulean Celeste colorway, but I’ll be swooning over Brilliant Tangerine, if anyone needs me.
In search of a glowy-not-greasy product to wear underneath foundation, mixed with SPF or on the cheekbones as a highlighter? Benefit Cosmetics’ new Dew-La-La All-Over Glow Liquid Highlighter ($38) in shade “Luna” just won a forever spot in my makeup bag.
I can’t stop thinking about the Atlanta Linen Dress with Rose Detail ($320) from Sleeper — but instead of buying a dress I definitely don’t need, I plan to style a nap dress I already own by cinching the skirt with a rosette brooch. Thanks for the inspo, Sleeper!
