I Know A [May Mood Board] Hates To See Me Coming

Honeymoon Edition!

May 1-21st have virtually no appeal to me, and will be spent thinking about and packing/prepping for my honeymoon. Come the 22nd, I’ll be whisked away from my mundane Manhattan existence (via an economy seat on a red-eye flight) to Rome, Italy. Ciao Bella!

I’m sure the first two-thirds of the month have lots in store, but frankly, I’ve got a one track mind and a 119-day Duolingo streak, so you’ll have to bear with me while my upcoming getaway consumes my every thought (and entire personality).

While it’s standard practice to go on your honeymoon immediately after your wedding, I’m grateful that we decided to take a beat instead. We got to spend the days immediately after our wedding reliving the day with family — then, we stole away to the Catskills for a minimoon to hold us over. Six months and some change later, we’re ready to take a great, big trip and make even more memories together.
