I'm A Fashion Editor — These 3 Press Previews Stood Out To Me This Month
Let's give ourselves a nice little distraction and pretend you're my virtual assistant.
It feels bizarre to write about fashion this week, but I’m committed to trying my best. Not because I particularly want to, but because I know that others may benefit from pockets of normalcy after all we’ve endured this week.
Personally, I was proud to cast my ballot for Kamala Harris — which was, first and foremost, a vote against Trump — and I am seriously discouraged by the election’s results. What will become of us?
There are far more profound, articulate and knowledgable sources than myself to look to for resources this week, so I feel as though the most I can offer you here on B List is a silly little sartorial distraction. We shouldn’t be so tuned-out that we ignore the very real issues at hand, but it’s OK to take a breather and scroll some mindless content when our brains need a break.
Allow me to offer exactly that below.
Since leaving my full-time editor role to go freelance back in 2022, I’ve come to the realization that not every event requires my attendance. Seeing and being seen does little for my career and even less for my ego. Call it the wisdom that comes with age, but I’ve realized I’m much happier staying in than going out.
But not all of the work-related events I attend are parties. In fact, the majority are private press previews, and these are the appointments I actually look forward to. Getting to chat with publicists (and sometimes, the designers themselves), to see and touch collections IRL — that’s the good stuff!
Inspiring and exciting press previews are what keep me motivated on the most miserable of late nights spent doing all the not-so-fun stuff that comes with a glamorous day job.

So, why not celebrate the best of the best? I don’t foresee this being a monthly B List feature, but perhaps a quarterly segment — or one I simply cobble together every time I’m feeling wowed!
At this time, we’ve wrapped up the majority of holiday previews and are primarily looking forward to Spring 2025 offerings. Below, take a peek at three of my favorite recent press appointments, featuring Vince, Tibi, and Loewe.
The Preview That Made Me Want To Elevate All My Basics
Over the last few seasons, I’ve begun looking more and more forward to Vince previews. As a maximalist-in-recovery, I admit that the brand’s elevated basics — crafted with California ease in mind — didn’t always stand out to me.
It wasn’t until I had the privilege of stepping into their showroom and seeing the collections fully styled that they really won me over. And Spring 2025 was no exception.
Vince has made a point to emphasize styling as of late, and it’s an effort I believe is paying off in spades. Suddenly, every simple tank, slip skirt, and airy knit feels absolutely essential to my dream wardrobe. Even the simplest piece feels special, and the price point becomes easily justifiable when you consider the cost-per-wear of such cool, practical pieces.
B Listers know I’m in the process of rebuilding my wardrobe from scratch, and if I have it my way, Vince will hopefully take up a large portion of my new closet. While I wait for S25 to drop, I’m eyeing satin slips, smocked blouses, and sculpted car coats from their current range, available online now.
My big tips for shopping Vince? Aim to go to a store and try on in person, or order multiple sizes online — I’ve found that I can range from Small to Large, depending on the fit and material of any particular piece. And most importantly, don’t sleep on the shoes! The Venice Slingbacks are some of my all-time favorites.
The Preview Celebrating The It Bag Of The Season
When Tibi first teased a collaboration with L.L. Bean by sending models down the runway at their Spring/Summer 2024 show clutching belted Boat & Totes, I was instantly captivated.
What a perfectly chic upgrade to a timeless classic! Perhaps the end-all, be-all solution to my dismay over having to ruin myriad great outfits by topping them off with unsightly-but-practical totes to carry my essentials to and from the city.
Finally, the bag I’ve been dreaming about since that show is here — well, almost. The exclusive partnership piece will be available via Tibi come December 5th.
The deconstructed, then reconstructed Boat and Tote is accented by Tibi’s Classic Men’s Leather Belt, and features a subtle handle at the base for carrying clutch-style, as well as a d-ring inside to hold one’s keys (or affix bag charms). The belt can also be removed and worn for its original purpose. Genius!
At the preview, I chatted with Brand Director Sarah Brody about the Boat and Tote’s IYKYK status in the fashion world — and she even pulled out her own beloved, broken-in Boat and Tote as evidence.

What’s good enough for Brody (plus Anna Wintour, André Leon Talley and so many other icons in the sphere) is certainly good enough for me. I was gifted the tote at the preview, and I will definitely be wearing it non-stop.
The Preview That Almost Made Me Drop $1K On A Bottle Of Perfume
Believe me when I say, I will plan my entire week around one of Loewe’s excellent press previews. The chance to wander the upper level of the brand’s Greene St. store and take in the beauty of a new collection, backed by the boutique’s succulent green tile walls?
Clear my schedule. I live for this shit.
Getting up close and personal with the SS25 collection was a major treat, and although a few of the pieces I enjoyed most are currently embargoed (editor speak for I’m Not Allowed To Show Them To You Yet), there was a lot to love in general.
Of course, the Ready To Wear is spectacular in its ability to be both daring and surprisingly practical — but after a blissful year with my beloved Squeeze bag on my shoulder, I was eager to see what new bags might be on the horizon.
The Squeeze was my first-hand introduction to Loewe’s smoother-than-smooth nappa lambskin, and when I spotted a new bag with adjustable strap and signature pebble closure in the brand’s iconic Dark Khaki Green, I was sold.
My memory may be betraying me, but I want to say it’s called the Morocco bag. I do know that it comes out in February, and just might be my 30th birthday present to myself come March.
The only downside to this preview? Falling in love with a fragrance that’s just a little bit out of my price range. The stunning Loewe Perfumes x LLADRÓ collaboration pays tribute to the beauty of Spanish craftsmanship, with three fragrances topped with handmade porcelain flower caps that are each individual works of art.
I’m already a fan of the scent 001, and this special-edition flask — topped with the delicate hand-crafted white flower — would make for the ultimate bridal fragrance, were it not a whopping $1,050. It’s a limited run, with only 600 of each colorway available, so if I do indeed want to pull trigger, I’ll have to act fast.
